| I don't know how to do the weight thing, but he is one adorable guy. I'd change groomer's or tell him you don't appreciate his comments. He's all Yorkie, and what a guy. |

| Aye, Aye!! I agree! He sure is a cute baby. Groomers aren't in the position to say things like that...if your vet showed concern that would be another hing. He looks happy and healthy to me. |

| What a handsome guy Luckie is! My baby's going to be a big Yorkie, too. He weighed 4.4 pounds at 11 weeks and he's been growing rapidly since! I wanted a *small* dog when I got him, but I tell you what - I couldn't love him anymore! He has really stolen my heart! |

| What do you guys with the bigger yorkies consider to be a Silky? I thought the standard for yorkies was up to 7 pounds? (Although I do have a "fat" yorkie, Mickey... he is close to 9 pounds... he's just getting fat as he ages). All my other yorkies are less than 7 pounds.... (average weight is 5 pounds).

| The way to figure out how heavy or big a yorkie will grow is only a general guideline. Sometimes you will have yorkies that will be either smaller or bigger than what it predicted. Teddy is the runt of the litter. His 2 sisters are 4lbs and 4 1/2lbs. The brother is 6 1/2lbs. His parents are 6 1/2lbs and 7 1/2lbs. At 3 months old he weighed almost 3lbs. Now he is over 2 years old and almost 13 lbs . He is big but I love every inch of him. |

| I had a couple come up to me at a restroom stop and ask what kindof dog we had.. when we replied yorkie, they told us that he wasn't because his tail wasn't docked, his ears didn't stand, and he was 12 lbs. It offended me that they said that.. because my vet told me he was a yorkie.. and I know he was (just because he doesn't meet standard doesn't mean he's not the most gorgeous yorkie to me). People get on my nerves thinking they know everything about yorkies just because they own one. No offense anyone.. just referring to the groomer that told her that her yorkie might not be purebred, and to the couple who told me that Benji wasn't a yorkie.
