| Petzlife? Can anyone tell me a little more about this product? I've been using ProDen Plaque Off and I'm starting to think that my furbaby doesn't like the taste of it, plus I don't think she's getting the adequate amount needed to actually do something to help her teeth. I know many people are using Petzlife and that there's a gel and a spray? How does it work? I've never tried brushing my furbabies teeth, but I guess there's a first for everything. Do I use a toothbrush for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| I've been using Ptezlife on Prince for about a year. I use the gel because I would hate to get the spray in his nose or eyes. Yes, use a toothbrush for the best results, although some people do use other things that seem to work for them. You only need very little, and brush lightly.

| I've just placed an order for Petzlife gel b/c I noticed that Cassi was starting to have some plaque build-up. I've placed my order through Revival Animal Health Products for Pet Professionals, Veterinarians and Pet Lovers b/c the price was cheaper and shipping was reasonable. I hope it works...

Can you use the brushes that you can place over your finger or do you use like an actual toothbrush? | |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | The Petzlife gel is not toothpaste, it's a product that softens tartar, and you brush it off at a later time. No food must be given 30 minutes after you put on Petzlife. I use a poutry flavored toothpaste for brushing the teeth, and I use the little brushes that fit on the fingertip, I think they work great, but to apply the petzlife, I just use my finger. The spray is even easier, I just lift his lip an give a quick spray on each side.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I've been using it on my babies for a couple of weeks now and I already see results! Especially on my Stedman, since his teeth are way worse than Tatum's. You can use a soft toothbrush or finger brush if you want, but I personally just put a little on the end of my finger and rub it on both sides of their mouth (well, teeth) and a little on the front of their teeth as well. That's it! It's that simple One thing to remember though is that they are not supposed to eat OR drink anything 30 minutes before you use it on them, and 30 minutes after.

| So the Petzlife gel isn't a toothpaste then? I'm just making sure I'm understanding the product fully before I try it. It's a gel that you put on their teeth and you just leave it on there? Does it taste good to them? Do you have to wash it off at all? |

| Also I was just looking at Petsmart's website and they said there's also one that has Wild Salmon Oil with Omega 3 & 6, is that better than the regular one or am I better off just using the regular one for now to see how she likes it? |

| Both work well. I use both, but I recently got the one that you place over your finger and I really like that one. It's easier for me to reach his back teeth.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Yes mam And you're welcome. I always pull the food and water up and set the timer on my stove for 30 minutes before I give it to them, and then for another 30 minutes after I have used it on them before I put the food and water back down.

You would be using way too much to brush once or twice a day with it. It contains a very large amount of grain alcohol, so some of us prefer not to use it at all and definitely not in the amount that toothpaste would be used.
