The Petzlife gel is not toothpaste, it's a product that softens tartar, and you brush it off at a later time. No food must be given 30 minutes after you put on Petzlife. I use a poutry flavored toothpaste for brushing the teeth, and I use the little brushes that fit on the fingertip, I think they work great, but to apply the petzlife, I just use my finger. The spray is even easier, I just lift his lip an give a quick spray on each side.
