| About how much does it cost to for a yorkie puppy to get a check up at the vet I was told that once you get your puppy you should get the puppy checked out right away. How much do you guys usually pay and is the coast different for adults. I know the cost might not be the same for me but I would just like to get an estimate and see if its about the same all over. O yea what about grooming too |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | bella's first check up was free because it was her first time. after that its around 50 dollars.. depending on what you have done. Grooming changes as they get older- i think under 6 months is a little cheaper, but then again all groomers charge differently.. I pay around 45 dollars not including tip Hope that helps!!!

| For just a Wellness exam without vaccines it is usually between $25-$60. We pay $30-$40 here.

| In California , where I take Suzi is is $35.00. They have also have A vaccination package where a puppy can go and get all of them and be dewormed, and checked out , a stool sample done +a welcome kit all for $125.00. That is what i got when I first brought Suzi to the vet. It was worth it

| I get to bring Riot home tomorrow and I'm taking him on Tuesday to the same vet my parents use. My mom said their border collie's last checkup was $41 but I'm not sure if there is a different cost for smaller dogs, puppies or first timers..I guess we'll wait and see! That vet is a little expensive for around here but they are so good and they saved our other dog's life (he had Parvo and was in very bad shape) so I figure the extra cost is worth it.

| Our vet is $45 for just a check up and of course anything extra costs and they will likely do extra things like fecals, bloodwork, etc. so it could cost anywhere from $45-200 or more. When Chip was a baby, we had him groomed at petsmart and I believe it was somewhere between $30-45. When he got to be a certain age, it was like $60. Now we take him to a private groomer and she charges $35 for Chip and does Smokey for free.

| You will need an exam ......... but also be thinking of the cost of the vaccines that it will need. We purchase our flea control and heartworm meds at the vet. Our last visit with one of the dogs was $70 and that included heartworm meds. There are products available at some Walmarts and discount stores, but it is best to be careful about using them. Yorkies are very small..... we think it is best to get our preventive meds from the vet - he knows what is the best for them and the proper dose.
