| I am also glad that you decided to wait. Perhaps when she is a year or so . This little one has already had a surgery , and is a tiny Yorkie. I think it is wise to hold back a little while.

| Thanks, my gut instinct is telling me to hold off. I just hope that I'm making the right decision. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that her first heat doesn't come, and I still manage to get the spay done first. That would be ideal.

| Oh Sweetie! Don't EVER feel that way. Our yorkies are extra special dogs and need all the understanding, protection and love we can give them! No one is going to care for your Missy as well or as much as you do. One can never be too protective of these liitle darlings. You are being an excellent Mommy! Just look at how you have been handling that little leg. Keep up the great work! |

Yorkie Yakker | I know exactly how you feel. My yorkie is 2lbs and will be a yr next month. She has an appt Feb 25 to be spayed and has not had her first heat cycle. So, I would be exceptionally nervous and scared if she just had surgery but the vet says it is better to spay them before the 1st cycle. If you trust your vet, then go ahead and let her do it. I'm sure she will be fine. I'm nervous now just getting my spayed and everyone says it will be okay. |
