| When you do a bile acid test you take a paired sample around a meal. The pre meal sample is taken and should be under 10. The dog is then fed a d a post meal sample is taken two hours later. You want the post to be no higher than 25 but lower is better. This test shows how well the liver is functioning. If bile acids are high, there is something going on with the liver. With yorkies liver shunt and Mvd are very common so breeders will do a bile acid test on their adults before they breed them.

| Breeders are posting the results to give potential buyers a peace of mind, sharing this information letting them know their breeding pairs have their Bile Acids within range and a healthy liver. Many are testing their pups too before placing them. |

| It's a blood test, the pre test would be early in the morning as it's recommended it should be fasting, the dog would be fed after taken the first sample , the post is taken two hours after being fed. |
