| Chicken & Rice Balls Recipe? so my dogs LOVE these little treats and on the ingredients list it says that all they are is literally chicken and rice. Since I have 6 dogs we go through so many bags of these and they aren't exactly the cheapest treat on the market. I have searched the web and searched yorkietalk and can't find anything on making these myself. Does anyone out there have any suggestions or maybe knows how I can make these little balls that my guys go absolutely nuts over? I would love for Lilli's bday next month to give her (well, to share with her siblings hehe) a bucket full of these things made by her mommy! hehe

| hehe That was my first start to searching and all I got was a bunch of weird Chinese stuff. I may just have to take a day and trial and error with a ton of rice and a ton of chicken and hope maybe I accidentally figure it out. I'm a really crappy cook, so it may take a long long time. lol If it doesn't come with directions, I usually fail. I'm a Velveeta wiz though! haha

| how about this. I googled chicken and rice balls dog treat recipes and got this. I'm sure that you could add boiled chicken easily. not sure about the sesame seeds for dogs though. better check that out before using them. Rice Balls Dog Recipe Preparation: 1. Boil water in a saucepan. Reduce the heat and cook the rice, covered, until tender and quite sticky. Remove the cover and let it cool. 2. When the rice is cool enough to handle, wet your hands and form rice balls 1 ½ inches in diameter. Spread the sesame seeds on a piece of wax paper and roll the rice balls in them. You can make about 24 rice balls with this recipe. Ingredients: * 2 cups of uncooked short-grained sushi or arborio rice (or use long-grain white rice) * 4 cups of water * Sesame seeds Note: Rice Balls offer the perfect solution for the hard to please eater who doesn't like to get his muzzle messy when munching up a plate of loose grains. The tiny balls can also be used as training treats.

| here is one using turkey, again probably pretty easy to substitute chicken. Turkey Balls (These are so good you may want to try them yourself!) 1 loaf uncooked bread dough or pizza dough 1/4 cup turkey broth 1-2 tsp. flour 3/4 cup cooked turkey, cut up small 1/2 cup cooked vegetables 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 grated cheese 1/4 cup sesame seeds Roll out the dough and cut into 3 inches circles with cookie cutter. In a saucepan, combine the broth and flour, stirring until flour is dissolved and mixture thickens. Add the turkey, veggies, and garlic powder. Cook until mixture is heated through. Let cook a bit. Spoon one to two teaspoonfuls of the turkey mixture onto each circle. Fold up the sides and pinch shut. Roll into a ball shape. Mix the cheese and sesame seeds in a small bowl. Roll or sprinkle each ball with the mixture. Arrange the balls on a cookies sheet. Cook in a preheated 375 degree oven for 10-15 minutes, until they are golden brown. Let cool. Store in the refrigerator. ***** I would leave out the garlic power(not good for dogs) ps I realized after i pasted it that it used dough not rice, but you could make a chicken/rice mixture and insert it in the dough instead(just an idea) here is the website in case anything else tickles your fancy Dog recipes and treats, cook for your dog!
