I have recently changed Joey from a RC to another food with potatoes instead of corn, but the past week he has been experiencing excessive eye tearing, and I'm taking him off the new food and going back to RC to see if his eyes clear up. I'm really mad at myself for switching. He was doing great on RC, but like you, I read so much saying that there are so many better foods out there, and I was trying to find one. ![]()

I had actually thought about using rc as mom had her dogs on it at one time, and her shih tzus hair looked better than it ever had while she was using it, and her dogs actually had quit licking themselves. The only reason she took them off of it, was because she was buying it from her groomer and the groomer moved to SC, so she wasn't close enough to drive to buy it, and wasn't going to pay high s&h to have it delievered. Now, recently at our pet store, I did inquire about it, the guy said it was bought out by one of the other food companies(can't remember if it was diamond or what, but, I do recall it wasn't a very good company that bought them out) | |

Hadn't heard about them selling to someone, they seem to be an awfully big company. This might be something to check out, but the guy may also have been mistaken.

| I don't know Nancy, this guy has been the manager of this store quite awhile, and he really does know the foods, he will come right out and tell you which ones they sell are good and which ones are bad. I asked him about the RC as I really did consider that one, he said it was a good food, but, such and such bought them out, and I really woulnd't go with that one anymore. I will try and remember to ask him next time I go in which company it was that bought them out. It was probably 2 mos ago when he told me that, and my brain doesn't work like it used too. |

| I tried Harley on RC and this is also what my vet gave me in my puppy pack. Harley loved the taste and would eat all of it you would give him. However after just a few days, his stool started getting softer and softer, before becoming altogether runny. Jeri and Harley |

| No, the RC just did not agree with Harley's belly. We ended up slowly transitioning him to Merrick, and then from Merrick origional formula to Merrick Before Grain. We are on our second bag of Before Grain and Harley loves it! Jeri and Harley |
