				   | I have two dogs, a Yorkie, Maisie, and a Chihuahua, Ellie. I feed them both at the same time twice a day and I am a little concerned at the pace that they eat their food. They just seem to gobble it up in no time at all, I swear they dont even chew! lol I feed them Nutro Choice Mini, a complete dry food, and I was wondering if maybe feeding them a larger size food might slow them down a bit? What d'you guys think? Jess |

				   | You could feed a bigger sized kibble. I feed Nature's Recipe and their kibble is nice sized... not tiny like these small bites ones. Also, you said you are feeding Nutro. I would be weary of them and consider changing your food choice. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...-s-yorkie.html

				   | I'd try the golf ball. It sounds like a good idea.

They make bowls for this. They have little nubs in the bowls that causes them to have to slow down while they are eating.

				   | I suppose you could try a larger kibble or maybe the golf ball technique. I'm not really sure myself since I've never expierenced this problem and I've fed the small bites since my dog was a puppy. Keep us posted if you try the golf ball technique! I'm curious as to whether that works or not, or even if you give them bigger kibble. |

				   | I would take a baking sheet and spread the food out on it. that way its harder to get and they wont eat it so fast |

				   | Or you could put there food in a kong and they would work to get it out (of course with small kibble it wouldnt be too hard for them so they would get frustrated)| It would be good mental stimulation and good for them not gobbling it up. |
