| Feeding Vegies I usually put a little canned food in with the dry, but I ran out. So I mashed up some canned carrots in with the dry food and Samson inhaled it! We have never given him table food, so I was careful to just put a small amount of carrots. He usually eats most of his food (really picky eater) but last night he licked the bowl clean! Is this good for him? He ate better with the carrots than with canned dog food mixed in! Oh yeah, when he pooped this morning, it was normal. Let me know if I should continue this carrot thing that seems to work! |

| Welcome to YT!!! Most veggies are safe for our little ones. I feed mine carrots ALL the time! They also are fond of apples, bananas, string beans, potatoes... Oh, I could go on FOREVER! Just don't feed grapes, onions or chocolate! Really, REALLY bad... Our babies can't digest something in them... Can't remember exactly |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | So you have a veggie baby too huh? That's great! YES, carrots are GREAT for them to eat! My kiddos LOVE carrots, green beans, peas (although not the canned peas as they contain too much salt), sweet potatoes, etc. and they also love many fruits such as apples, bananas, pineapple, blueberries, etc. It is all great for them! I do buy Organic for them though

| I only give Tricksie frozen or fresh veggies, canned food usually has too much sodium.

| You can give your baby many types of veggies, so do need to be steamed first. I home cook, so no problems with these girls, they lick their bowls totally clean after their meals. I just found a veggie combo of slightly steamed broccoli and collard greens that they just love. I mixed it in with their meat and harvestgrain blend. Trader Joes Fan : Recipes and Favorite Product Reviews - Harvest Grains Blend I also give them a meat and veggie mixed with Quinoa. Organic Quinoa - Organic Quinoa - Seeds & Spices - By the Pound - NutsOnline I also give them fresh carrots and apples, and dried fruits for snacks as well as making their own crunchy cookies. So many, many wonderful ways to keep them happy and healthy. Dog food does not! Neither does commercial pet snack. Nasty.

| Fresh or frozen cooked veggies are wonderful for them. It's best to avoid canned veggies because they are so high in sodium, though. |

| I don't season their steamed veggies. I just mix a little into the rest of their food.
