| ![]() How much does Maxwell weigh? I would be most concerned about anesthesia on a tiny dog. He's 1 year old now, right? My thoughts are...get a thorough vet check-up for pre-op testing. Explain your fears to your vet...make certain they use the proper anesthesia for a Yorkie(do a search on here, I know this has been discussed). But really at a year old I doubt that they are going to just fall out on their own...I could be wrong...but I don't think so. Anyway, Winston and Spencer both had retained baby teeth...they both had them surgically removed and they both survived the procedure. You must have confidence in your vet, you must be able to openly speak your mind to them...they must understand your fears and work with that. Good luck to you and Maxwell...I hope everything works out for the best.

| ![]() I post questions to get advise from other EXPERIENCED Yorkie owners. I stick with the advise that makes total common sense and with individuals who give advise that appears to be repeated. (IE: advise is to have vet take a look and most likely teeth to get pulled when dog is fixed)...END OF QUESTION Everything in life has a risk. Personally, I think if you are not planning on breeding a dog, it should be fixed. I am somewhat educated on the teeth issues during my research on the breed. But there are always the questions that come up. I really appreciate all of the advice...THANKS
