| His paw was bleeding after our walk!!!-Need dog boot recommendation Hello, Now that it is winter time, there is snow, ice, and that darn salt on the ground. After our morning walk, I noticed that there was blood on the blanket where I take off his coat and harness, and it was coming from one of his paws. Not sure exactly where from the pad of the feet it was coming from, but it stopped bleeding after a minute or two. I couldn't tell where the cut was. Now, I want to get him dog booties. I tried some at his feet at the store once, but they just came right off after he started walking. Does anyone use dog boots? If so, which kind? They have just rubber/sorta balloon material ones and then ones that do look like winter boots.

| I would also like to know a good boot that stays on. I bought a pair, expensive too but I spent more time looking for one in the night because they always came off I just stopped using them. I do use vasoline on Buds paws a couple times of week to keep them moist. Just rub it in on all four paws. It does help protect them to some extent. |

| The same thing happened to Ella Bean! I found blood on the blanket after our walk and she was licking her back paw and it was all raw! Poor baby girl. I constructed a little bandage using gauze and medical tape (none on the fur). Its like a little bootie. I made it go up past her knee?? (I dont know what the technical dog term is for that joint, lol) because my first try came right off. I even drew on the tape, like signing a cast, so she would feel special...I also put calendula ointment on the wound first to aid in healing quickly. Calendula is homeopathic and has antibacterial and healing properties and its very gentle. Now I know. Time to get some shoes. Anyone here had success in fitting a 2 pounder with shoes that stay on and protect???? Her paws are about the size of the pad of my thumb...

| i have heard wonderful things about Epiks dog shoes EPIKS.net Most dog shoes focus on safety or style, which both contribute to the general comfort for a dog. Epiks unique design offer safety and style while providing maximum comfort. Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) sole is Skid-free, flexible, insulates against cold and surfaces, and is the same material used in high-end running and basketball shoes. Because of the reliable heavy-duty zipper and elastic stitching EPIKS will stay on tight-even while running. Lightweight features make it 30% lighter than shoes of the competition so it won’t weigh down the dog’s step or alter musculature. Distinctive design gives it a look unlike any other dog shoe with many of the same advanced features of an athletic shoe.Handsome microsuede upper portion resists the elements and comes in a variety of attractive colors combinations. Built with the technology of a human shoe but made just for dogs. Unlike other dog shoes EPIKS utilized the differences in the shapes and angles of a dog’s front and hind legs to create separate designs for both sets of paws. EPIKS patented sole and angle will roll the dog’s paw resulting in a more comfortable and balanced stride. The secret to EPIKS lighter than air stride is the special Memory Foam insole combined with the TPR sole to reduce the load on a dog’s legs and energize with each step. |

| There are some new boots on the market now that are actually disposable after a few wears made of some type of rubber that stretches to put on then hugs the foot and won't come off till you take them off. PAWZ DISPOSABLE DOG BOOTS
