The same thing happened to Ella Bean!

I found blood on the blanket after our walk and she was licking her back paw and it was all raw! Poor baby girl.

I constructed a little bandage using gauze and medical tape (none on the fur). Its like a little bootie. I made it go up past her knee?? (I dont know what the technical dog term is for that joint, lol) because my first try came right off.

I even drew on the tape, like signing a cast, so she would feel special...I also put calendula ointment on the wound first to aid in healing quickly. Calendula is homeopathic and has antibacterial and healing properties and its very gentle.

Now I know. Time to get some shoes. Anyone here had success in fitting a 2 pounder with shoes that stay on and protect???? Her paws are about the size of the pad of my thumb...
