| Fans of Dehydrated Chicken Strips!!! I know everyone is tired of all the warnings, etc., but I have to wonder if China is trying to make pets in our country extinct!!? There was a warning a while back about the strips that they sell at Sams's so I sought another source. I have been buying them from a lady on EBay and they supposedly are fresh and made by her. The first time we received them I found it odd ... they looked identical, smelled the same and Toto was just as addicted to them as she has been the others. They come sealed in Food Saver bags so I convinced myself it was OK. I still had a nagging doubt in the back of my mind and occasionally looked online for strips that I felt more confident about. I found some [Durango Pet Products] a couple of weeks ago that sounded really promising and almost recommended them here to all the little Chicken strip lovers. I ordered a couple of bags. Meanwhile, I found another site ... an amazing site ... a real eye opener!! I was so impressed with the information and the "gut feeling" that I was reading the truth that I went ahead and ordered some of those and they were sending samples ASAP so poor addicted Toto wouldn't have to suffer withdrawals! As my luck would have it ... the Durango strips came before the samples. Yep!! In little letters ... "Made In China"!! I was furious and tossed 'em! The very next day we received the samples from the second site and when we opened them, Patrick & I almost ate one!! The smell was unbelievable ... smelled just like fresh cooked chicken, yummmmm, and Toto loves them! I didn't mean to ramble on but would like to invite you to read what I have read and draw your own conclusions about this. The web address is: Konas's Chips The chips are thinner and shaped differently that the strips that Toto is accustomed to but I can promise you, I will buy these for her for as long as they sell them and have peace of mind knowing that she isn't going to be poisoned! These are more in keeping with the amount of protein I want her to have too and I know for certain that she isn't eating a product that contains Melamine!! Please be sure to check out the links on Kona's Story at the bottom of the page.

| I ordered the chicken/sweet potato strips from best bully site...turned out "made in China" on the bag.......so disappointed and angry. Just assumed "natural" meant no worries. I emailed and they told me "I'm sure you and your dog eat products from China all the time and they're safe." I replied, "Dehydrated Chicken was my concern not every product from China." They said that is the ONLY PRODUCT in their line from China. Might be nice if they mentioned that on their site. |

| Cadet is the brand best bully sells on their site. I too am scared since I gave him the whole bag before I realized they were made in China. Just throw them away. I know I just assumed since the only ingredients were sweet potato and chicken that they were natural and safe. If you type in Cina Dehydrated chicken you will see the sad stories of why we shouldn't buy doggie products made in china. |

| Buddy is another who is addicted to chicken strips. I stopped buying them about 8 months ago because every single package on the market, no matter what the brand, was made in China. I recently discovered one in our local family owned pet store that is a new brand for the store. It also has parsely in it for the breath, if needed. They are made in the good ole USA. I forget the name but I can get it for you if you like Bettyanne. He's now enjoying his favorite snack once again. |

| I didnt know any of this! I am so glad this forum exists! Bobby loves Chicken jerky. I sent off for a sample of the kona treats. I hope he likes them. He doesn't really care for any other treats. What other types of treats do you babys like that are safe? Maybe I can try those as well. |

| Good luck finding healthy treats. I know it can be hard, we have resorted to pretty much homemade (either bought from someone else).
