| My Yorkie Won't Eat Much My Yorkie will be a year old on Halloween and for a long time we have been having problems with his eating habits. At first it was due to my mother thinking she was "spoiling" him by giving him small amounts of "human food" after I had asked her not to, but I put a stop to that a few months ago. After getting him away from the "human food" he began to eat better...but recently he will barely eat any of his food. He has been eating Eukanuba: Small Breed since I received him (it was recommended by the breeder), I am just not sure if he could be sick or simply bored with his food! Although soon he will be switched to adult food, Eukanuba, it will pretty much appear the same and most likely taste it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!! |

| Eukanuba isn't really a good food, so it may just be a matter of giving him a food he finds tastier. There are several choices out there like Wellness and Natural Balance which can both be found at Petco now. The other options are homecooking which is what I do or feeding raw which others on here feed, either pre-made like Nature's Variety or prey model. Since he's such a picky eater though which could possibly be due to a health issue, I would *not do raw unless he has a bile acid test first. It's better to be safe, so if you're concerned, have bloodwork run on your baby.
