I wish I could be so Lucky....i had to bathe fiona yet again today (which i dont like, cuz im probably drying out her skin, poor thing) I thought we were doing well, then this am she had them on her head, and belly, so i bathed her in flea/tick shampoo only on her body- and used johnson and johnsons baby shampoo on her head and face..and i think we are finally seeing progress...its been pretty cold- so hopefully the frost will hit soon- i'm calling the vet on monday to get her apt for spaying- and i think i may just switch to advantage as well. |

We found a couple fleas on Mojo and a couple fleas on Smokey. *sigh* We were flea free for 3 weeks... then it starts again. I told my cousin we should have bombed the house again... but no one listens to me. |
The Advantage can be reapplied once a week in bad infestations. The vet and I both checked it out to be safe. We called the Bayer Advantage place and asked. We're really not supposed to bathe them for 2-3 weeks after applying it. So much for it being water proof like the box states! |
Plus you really shouldn't have to bomb as long as you keep reapplying it. It's supposed to sterilize the adult ones and and newly hatched ones should be killed once they land on the dog. The vet said you might find some on them but they're probably slow and not biting. It's all a guessing game. I'd go ahead and treat one more time even after the frost to just to make sure they all die. |
The ones on Mojo and Smokey were very fast moving. I think we may have a nest hiding in the house somewhere. I saw one on Mojo on Friday and yesterday Chip and Smokey played with Mojo, the Smokey ended up with two on him. |
Thank god!!!!! I have not seen any fleas on Fiona since her bath on saturday am! Thank god! Scratching has DECREASED a lot! So, I think we are good!!!!!!!! I have been vaccumming every other day, and washing her bedding, and this morning we had a frost, so i'm really hoping we are done with these Annoying things!!!!!! :D |
