| Behavior change after spaying When I adopted 2.5 yr old Suki, 2 mos ago, she was totally litter box trained and we had no problems. 1 mo. ago I had her spayed and now she poos & pees in the floor about 1/2 the time. I thought about starting to try and use the pee pads and will if someone thinks this is a good solution. I have started letting her outside 4-6 times a day but she won't go out there cause she has always used the box...any advise will be appreciated. |

| typically spay/neuter is "supposed" to calm and mature the dog... but it all depends on the dogs personality. they don't forget what they learn... they just get stubborn...its typical in the breed. if she does not like the little box anymore i would try the potty pads maybe with the potty spray (you spray a sent on them to let them know its okay to go here) and i would also keep up the dicipline... positive reinforcement (if she goes in the house dicipline and take her outside to show her this is where it needs to happen and do not come in until she goes... if and when she does... treat her and give her attention... its a commitment) it looks like she is training you hope everything goes well

| Thanks for replying. I have gone back to crate training 101...LOL. Starting all over and it seems to have made all the difference. I guess she just needed the structure. |

| omg...thats interesting. My lil Izzy is supposed to be getting spayed thursday. I have no idea what her behavior is going to be like afterwards. Now she is a pretty calm puppy. But she crys a lot and barks only when she wants my attention or when Im not around. |
