| ![]() I'm bumping this up because I don't use Frontline but I'm surprised that it says not to get it in their hair. I mean, that is kind of impossible with a Yorkie.

| ![]() I think it will alright. It means that you should apply to skin and not topically on hair. There is no way to not get it elsewhere. You don't want to apply to hair because it will not be absorbed and spread out and they could lick at it. Also, you should apply in one spot, not down his/her back. You should wait at least 24 hours before bathing. I try to bath prior to putting it on so I don't have to bath for awhile after applying.

| ![]() Hi! Just passing some info on that my vet told me. Don't bath 3 days before or 3 days after you apply the frontline. Only because there natural skin oils absorb the frontline into there skin better, so bathing right before or right after is not the best idea. This has always worked for me and I have never had a problem with fleas or ticks. Knock on wood!!! ![]()

| ![]() My vet won't let me use frontline yet and Pita really needs it! He says that she has to way 4#s first. I'm surprised though b/c on frontlines site it doesn't say that. How much do your dogs weigh? I'm just curious if it's just my vet that won't let me use it or if it is unsafe?? |

| ![]() Yes, they do have one for smaller dogs. I do not know if Frontline carries it though. My vet gave me one for Suzi , and i do not remember the name , ![]()

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | ![]() It wont do any harm if you apply it to their hair, it is just because in order to work, it needs to be on their skin, that's all, so don't worry about it.

| ![]() That is what my vet said...the application is less than what a dogs would be. You could still use the dog application but the amount in the cat one is sufficient.

| ![]() Thank you to evreyone that responded. I feel much relief now that I know its ok to get some on the hair during application especially because Yorkies have so much hair its impossible. Also I did not know I could use the cat frontline instead since its less expensive. I did purchase the one for small dogs up to 22lbs, so far Princess seems to be doing ok and has had no reactions to the Frontline. |

| ![]() I've only had to use flea treatment with mine once. (And then I only put it on one of them and it worked for both. ![]() |

| ![]() I've applied Frontline when Cassi was 14 weeks and weighing a little under 2 lbs. I've used the Frontline for smaller dogs (less than 22 lbs) and have not had any problem. Once I apply it, I usually do not brush her until 24 hours later and bath her at least 2-3 days later.
