I've only had to use flea treatment with mine once. (And then I only put it on one of them and it worked for both.
) I parted the hair on the back a *little* off centered and cut the hair as short as I could--a small spot not even as big as a pea--and applied it very slowly. It seemed to keep if from soaking up into the hair. I suppose it worked as all the fleas magically disapoofed.
