| Yorkie Rose and suzysmitt, Thanks for your advise. Prince is 1 and 4 months old and approximately 5 lbs. He was just neutered last week, but the loss of appetite has been going on for 2-3 weeks before that. As far as the water mixed with the chicken and dog food, I'm confused. Please enlighten me. lol. I'm a bit worried that he doesn't like the food I'm giving him so I want to switch. I'm currently giving him Iams because that's what his breeder was giving him and he was doing very well with that. Now I know how "bad' Iams is (thanks to this site) and will probably change to Nutro Natural Choice Ultra. I will give gim some nutrical and see if that helps. Thanks and if you remember anything else, just write me. Your help was greatly appreciated. |

| I wasn't sure how old Prince was..I did not want you to stop feeding him abruptly if he was a baby. Some who have been fed table food do well if you mix a bit of chicken with the dry..when the chicken is ground up and a few drops of water are added to the dry it is impossible to pick out the chicken bits. I do not see anything wrong in adding a bit of table food to the dry once in awhile, just as long as it is mixed well and they can not pick out the table food. I think Prince will do well on dry..he will no doubt try for an Academy award and preform the "poor abused" Yorkie..hang in there.. |
