| Stewie Needs Serious Help. Please Read! Stewie stopped squatting when he pees. He doesn't lift his leg. He just stand there and pees. He pees all over his stomach fur (even though it is trimmed short). I have to bathe him every single time he does it because he stinks and is wet with pee! What happened? Why did he start doing this? Any advice? I was getting ready for work today and he peed all over himself so I had to wash him up and I was late for work. Its really frustrating me. It just started a couple days ago and I don't know what happened? Also, he has been licking himself down there a lot more than before. He also stands and turns around and sniffs that area more often than every before -- up to 10 or 15 times a day. Any insight? I need it.

| I'm not really sure why Stewie is doing this. I doubt there is anything wrong but you should call your vet and ask about the licking.

| You might want to have him checked for a urinary infection just in case but other than that I really can't think of another reason why he might be doing that.

| My little guy as always peed like this. He never squatted. He thrusts his little hips forward and goes. I think he learned it from his dad since he was raised with his mom and dad present. I have puppy wipes, i think i got them at target, just like baby wipes, but are supposed to condition the hair and i just wipe him down with one. Mine doesn't really pee on himself and i think your's won't in time. I would guess it just means he's starting to become a man. Are his little man bits starting to drop? Also as far as licking and smelling I think most men would if they could.

| It sounds like a UTI to me too. Might want to get him into the vet and have him checked out. If a UTI is left untreated it can turn into a bladder or kidney infection so better safe than sorry. |

| Yes, he has been having more frequent accidents. I called my vet and am waiting for her to call me back. I wanted to get him neutered very soon, but she let me know that we have to make sure he doesnt' have an infection soon. Hopefully she calls me soon. Thanks a lot for your input. I didn't even suspect a UTI.

| Memphis went through the same thing a while ago. I didn't have the slightest clue what his issue was. Wish I had know of this site then. Hope the Stewmiester feels better soon. |

| I don't really know why either... TJ pees all sorts of ways lately! Sometimes he'll squat, sometimes he'll just stand there with a little lean, I saw him lift his leg once (but I think he's peeing with his leg lifted on the corner of his crate while I am at work), sometimes he pees with his 2 front legs inside the pee box with his back legs outside (and pees either in or out of the box), sometimes his front legs are outside the box and his one back leg in the box and the other back leg ontop of the box. I don't know what to make of it, all I want is for the pee to land on the pad, that's all! He does lick himself after he pees and I never have to clean his belly from pee. I just don't get it! It is always something new... |

| It's funny you asked that question. Just this morning I was out watching Frankie and he did the same thing. I thought it was odd. He's also going through the lickies. Lickies, Lickies, everywhere. All over him. All over my arms. All over my boyfriends arms. Whats up? We call him Lickie Lou sometimes.
