| Were any of the others abnormal? like ALT, AST, ALB? Is your baby on a high protein diet?

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Other than BUN is referring to kidney function...I have no clue what the other means. When my vet tells me information...I do not understand....I ask questions and don't leave until I understand what I'm being told. It's their job...don't leave their office until you understand.

| Of course they will They HAVE to fax them to you if you ask for them. I always get a copy of all the bloodwork/urinalysis tests that they do on my babies.

| It sounds like your vet is not too concerned. I would probably just repeat the bloodwork in a couple of weeks.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I don't understand - what do you mean she is eating "N" - what is "N"? Honestly, I really hesitate to give advice because I can't decipher the writing. I would kindly ask that when you are requesting advice for HEALTH and EMERGENCY issues, that you please write out your sentences fully - not using abbreviations. In other sections, I'm not so concerned. But in these sections in particular, it actually concerns me quite a bit due to the possibility of misinterpretation of what you may or may not be saying.

| The BUN wouldn't concern me too much right now because it looks like she is getting a lot of protein and dehydration is always a question when it's high. You might want to have it rechecked as Yorkieluv suggested but make sure she is fully hydrated and you might want to cut back on a bit of the protein right before. If it doesn't go down I then would be concerned. Can't help with the other one but since it's out of reference range, I'd definately keep an eye on it.

| Hello Jesse, I'm sorry I can't help either, but I'm sure all will be well. I agree that you should always get everything explained, in a way you can understand what the vet is telling you. I'd also like to say hello, because my husband and I stayed in Linden NJ two years ago on holiday, at Thanks Giving. We are spending Thanks Giving in Queens this year. I love New York, and I love the American people. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I would definatley have the Bun redone in 2 weeks. 56 is getting up there. I had Dixie in kidney failure and hers was way over 400 so it probably is just dehydration but I would want a repeat.
