| Is canadae food good nutrition for yorkies? I am starting to prepare for when I receive my puppy and wanted to see if Canade brand food is okay. My Golden Retriever does very well on it and her coat is amazingly shiny but I wanted to see if this would be okay for a yorkie. I plan on feeding it whatever the mother's owner feeds it but eventually may change it's diet slowly. Any info would be great, tia! |

| Canidae congratulations on your new yorkie puppy! we are getting one also in a few weeks. Our breeder does feed her yorkies Candiae..but, I did an on line search and came across a consumer complaint posts..I was pretty surprised to read some of the posts..they claimed their dogs has loose stools, diarrhea, and vomiting from it. I called our nearest pet supply and asked the owner if she has ever heard of this..she said yes she has! I need to talk with our breeder about this..I do not believe she had these problems. I have maltese, I feed them Life's Abundance. I may just stick with it. One thing I like very much about the company is when you get your order it was freshly made with in 5 weeks of delivery. It hasn't been sitting in a damp moldy storage center for how long.. my dogs are picky and they do eat this. The down side , you need it shipped, they do not carry this brand in stores..this is why at first I was so excited about the Canidae.. it's a huge convenience to be able to just go get it. I wanted to switch to a brand I can buy locally for all our dogs, but now I am a little confused in what to do. All I can say is really do your research. Let me know how you made out. best of luck with your new baby!! (boy or girl?) Ree DogFoodIngredients |

| I've fed my two Canidea for several years now and love it. It has always been at the top of the lists of great foods. We have never had a problem feeding it...even when we began feeding it. I as far as I know, it has never been affected by any recalls either. Congrats on your new little one!

| Canidae oh I am so happy to hear good results with this food! Have any of you who do use it ever heard of these allegations/ complaints? I know they were not on the list of bad dog food (thank goodness) so I was a little concerned when I read this info. Ree |

| My 4 Yorkies were on Canidae for about 1 1/2 years. even the puppies too. No problems at all. I had to order Canidae online & decided to switch to Innova because it is sold locally.

| The breeder that I'm getting Canyon from feeds him Canidae All Life Stages and I plan to keep him on that. I've done some research and got lucky to find a dealer of Canidae that works right across the street from me, so no ordering online. From what I've read and researched, sounds great to me. |

| We use it to here......they do great on it! Our vet recommended it.....our shih tzus were having some skin problems. The only thing I noticed was when we first switched the shih tzus onto it, they had some smelly gasand had never had before!! Thankfully they don't have it now after getting used to it. I sayfor candidae!!

| Canidae All Life Stages I have been feeding Canidae All Life Stages for almost two years (maybe over two years) and am well pleased with the results. Even my Elderly Boxer Boo is doing well on it - she has a sensitive stomach and threw up regularly on the last food she was eating. |

| switched to Canidae I am feeding Canidae now (Chicken and rice formula). My Desiree is very sensitive and changed to it easily. I was feeding Prairie chick n rice and they added a new manufacturing plant and the formula wasn't supposed to change but something did. I soak the kibble in hot water and wait for it to swell (started when she had dental work and she holds out for it that way now) but it stopped swelling and became a sticky mess. I asked the store owner that originally recommended Prairie and she had the same problem and switched to Canidae. I was having problems with Dezi and diarrhea at the time because of the change in Prairie so I changed her over with no gradual introduction. I never do that because she's so sensitive. She never had a problem switching to it and I have used it ever since.
