| Darcy has dry itchy skin Hi all, Darcy has dry itchy skin, she is nearly 14 weeks old and has scratched from the day i got her, she hasn't got fleas, and she is on a very good diet free of wheat and other problem foods. Just wondering what I can do ? I initially thought it was the pedigree food they had her on, but I changed her to James wellbeloved wetted up with a tiny amount of Natures diet but she is still itchy. Any advice would be great x

| It's likely she's allergic to some ingredient in the food - it's not always something obvious like corn or wheat. Also are you SURE she doesn't have fleas? Those little buggers sure can be hard to find. I'd have a vet check her out just to be sure..

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Check your food ingrediants for corn and chicken. Those can cause the itchies. I feed mine...Wellness fish and sweet potato.

A 14 week old puppy wouldn't yet have allergies as they're still protected by Mum's antibodies. I would take her to the vet to be checked for other skin issues if she is truly itching like crazy. Anytime you see bad itching w/ puppies, you always want to consider mange. It could be other things too though.
