What does everyone else use, and the results? I use k9 advantix, and Ive never had a problem. I like that it comes in a 0-10 lb size, since Olivia weighs 4lbs. I feel weird giving her a dose thats made for 0-25lbs. It's so weird we don't think to check our dogs every time we bring them in. When I was little, every time I came inside at night my mom checked me over like mad for them. | |

| Im so sorry for your loss... I can not imagine if that would happen to one of my dogs. Snickers got a tick by his eyelit last weekend and 1 in his ear,. thats why i also brought him to the groomer.. so we can discover the ticks in time. where we live there are alot of ticks.. so it really is s**tty.. I try to keep them out of the bush and high grass. My thought are with you and your family may he rest in peace . Love Priscilla and Snickers. |

| Im starting to freak out here.. My dogs have never had ticks before really but my new pup Max has, well i think its ticks. The vat saw them and called them parasites. They are VERY small redish head and white baggy body. None of them are big and full of blood. I got some Frontline for the neck and out that on last night. I checked Max around the ears and eyes this morning that the d*amn ticks are still there. Some were dead and some still alive.. Vet told me NOT to wash him as he is only 2.5-3 months old. I dont want to loose this little guy. I have only had him for 5 days.. Can anyone tell me what I can do to kill these ticks or parasites???? Vet told me he could not remove them we could only use the Frontline for now because of him age! |

| Hi im sorry to hear that your lillte guy has some parasites.. I dont think myself that they r ticks.. If they are into the skin with their head then it is a tick.. If they just walk and are not stuck into his skin then its probably something else.. So ask you vet if its parasites or that he thinks they r ticks... Cause ticks you can remove yourself with a special tool. ( gripper or something, i dont knw the word.. im not from usa.. so i dont know the english word.. but its specially for ticks.) When you have the ticks removed.. or 1 or maybe more.. its mostly gone, or you must walk your dog in an area where there are ticks alot.. like bushes or grass or parks.. Good luck and kep us updated,. i hope my post helped that its probably not ticks. Love Priscilla Quote:

| He said parasites... Can you recommend something is should use? He put Frontline on the neck and said anything from 24hrs to a week before they would die. If not I should use Frontline again after one week. |
