| 20 Mule Team Borax and fleas I'm wondering if anyone has used 20 mule team borax to fight off fleas. I read somewhere that you can sprinkle 20 mule team borax in your yard to keep fleas out of the yard. Wondering if anyone has tried this? I don't want the borax to kill the grass. But I really don't like using flea treatments and up until last year did pretty well without getting fleas. I also use those electric plug ins in my house that are suppose to keep insects & rodents at bay - I think they have helped deter fleas in the house

| I have never used it outside, but did use it in the carpet and it worked wonderfully left over night and vacuumed up the next day. I usually spray my yard with Dawn dish soap on a hose sprayer (helps with mosquitos, too) and then sprinkle Cedarcide all over the dog yard on a regular basis. So, far we have been pretty lucky! CedarCide provides natural, non-toxic bug repellents and wood preservatives around the world I bought mine at Wal-Mart.

| I've never heard of it being sprinkled in the yard, but it works in the house. Just sprinkle it along the baseboard and under the furniture. |

| I was reading the testimonials on the Cedarcide site and a lady talks about how Frontline killed her dog at 5 years old! The autopsy showed he was killed by an ingredient in his flea treatment. Quote:

| I have been researching using Borax. Lots of info out online - I googled Borax fleas - so many great reports and people do use it in their yards. Tomorrow, I am going to poke holes in the lid of a very large yogurt container, fill the container with Borax and start sprinkling the yard with Borax to keep the fleas away. I am also going to talk with the neighbors on either side of us, as they have dogs and see if they will treat their yards too. We have no signs of fleas right now, and I really hate using chemicals on the furbabies, so we are going to try this. Oh, yes, people even talk about Borax working with hard wood floors
