Mayme is 7.5 mnths and probably weights around 5lbs. She doesn't look big to me at all. However, her mom was 4lbs and dad was 5lb. So, maybe she is a little big for 7 mnths? I just switched her to wellness, which said to feed her 1 1/4 cups daily. That seems like a lot compared to what she was having (3 tablespoons - 2x a day, plus treats when she pottys.) Erin - Where can I find a pet calorie calculator? Thanks! | |

| Metabolic Energy Requirements For Dogs It's not exact, it's just a guideline. Sammy & Loki both eat less than recommended for their meals because they get treats and healthy snacks too. It's better to base ideal weight off of how your dog feels and looks rather than how much they weigh. Sammy is a perfect weight with a "tuck up" and a waist and you can just feel her ribs. Loki is a little overweight because he has a slightly rounded little tummy and you can't really feel his ribs.
