| Some Neutering ???s My almost 6 mo yorkie, Hunter, is going to be up for neutering soon. I was hoping there would be a sticky on absolute necessities, but I didn't see one. Exactly what all should I be requiring my vet to do for the neutering? Blood work, iv, type of gases, meds for after?? And my vet advertises the laser type-is this recommended? Thanks for any help, I just want to make sure he will get the best and all required care when he has to have this done. I really appreciate your help!!! |

| Well I'm no expert, but the vet who did Xavier's surgery was wonderful. They did bloodwork prior to the surgery, and sent pain meds home for after. Although, Xavier refused to take them! He's just a brat like that...lol. I would try to find a vet who will let you take him home after the surgery, that way he can recover at home under your watchful eye! Hope this helps in some way
