| For those of you who recently switched to raw Did you introduce into the diet gradually or did you just make the switch? I have read that some people introduce it gradually and some just make the switch. For those of you that just made the switch, what kind of problems did you experience?

| I switched my girls cold turkey. They didn't eat it the first time; nibbled the second time; inhaled the third time and from that time on.

| I switched cold turkey, no pun intended. I've been on the prey model raw for 3 days now. It's going great. No tummy upset at all, I'm pleasantly surprised. The only negative I have is that I have to hold the chicken for my girls because they aren't used to eating it on their own. I hate doing in it some ways because I feel like I have to keep washing my hands but aside from that, which I'm sure will only be temporary, I can't think of a negative. Zoe only went poop once yesterday and both dogs poos are much smaller so that's a big plus! Plus, all the chewing really tires them out! | Ok, just went cold turkey. I am trying NV lamb medallions and was advised to also incorporate raw chicken parts twice a week as the medallions won't help with the teeth and breath. I always thought chicken bones were bad for dogs. They may splinter and lodge in their throats. I guess raw chicken bones are ok, or is the chicken bones bad for dogs a total misconception? My babies were on Canidae, so hopefully the detox phase will be minimal considering Canidae is supposedly a high quality dog food.

I think it's the cooked chicken bones that splinter, not the raw. It's better to switch cold turkey from kibble to raw because they have a different digestion rate, which can upset doggie's tummy

| Yes, don't ever feed cooked chicken bones but the raw bones are perfectly fine and actually good for cleaning their teeth the natural way. Other raw bones too are fine although the big leg bones from cows and like animals are too big and not so good for their teeth as it can cause them to break. |

| I switched both of my dogs cold turkey with no issues whatsoever. Lacy started eating raw two years ago. I started out feeding her the chicken/turkey. Just made a sudden switch with no problems. Rylie actually started eating Saturday. I switched him cold turkey too and just fed him vension and lamb since that's what I have here...no issues at all. Solid poops and acting 100% normal.

| I tried to switch gradually, but Xavier just picked out the Nature's Variety and left all the Wellness. So he switched cold turkey. And he LOVES it!!!

| So far so good. For the NV feeders, how many medallions do you feed per meal?

| Lacy's like 7.5lbs and I feed her 4 medallions per day (2 morning/2 evening). Rylie is like 6lbs and gets 3 medallions per day (1.5 morning/1.5 evening).
