| Dryers at the groomers http://www.wbir.com/news/news.aspx?storyid=27441 Please be sure and read this regarding dryers on top of the cages at the grooming salons for your dogs... It is a very tragic story, but we need to be aware that these things happen Love Fran and Sammi

| How awful! I took Daisy to Petsmart, but I stayed with her the whole time.

| I posted on another grooming thread about a couple in NJ who now has one of my pups. This exact thing happened to them. Their groomer burned their yorkie to death in a cage dryer and has no responsibility other than the replacement cost of the dog. I find it astounding that this kind of negligence exists and cost is the limit of their liability! |

| That is just terrible! I refuse to leave my little girl alone during the process. I made the lady hand blow-dry daisy.

| That is heartbreaking! I guess I'm smart to stay with Kacee when she gets groomed. I can see her the entire time as she is being done. I don't believe I could take her if it was otherwise... I worry about da babies! |

| Never use a groomer who cage dries in an enclosed cage...I used open pens to dry with the air only focused in one area so they could move if they were uncomfortble. I still stayed in the same room...and they can do away the high heat cycle as far as I am concerned...never go over cool or med... |

| OMG!!!!!!!! I took Scooter and Cheyenne to get groomed 3 weeks ago, and when I picked them up the owner told me Scooter had a siezure. I was in shock, because he had never been sick and had never had any medical problems. So, for 2 weeks we had every test you can think of run and everything came back normal. Then someone told me about how hot those dryers can get and when I told my vet, she said that was probably what caused his siezure. I will never take them anyone that used those dryers again. I am so lucky I did not loose him.

| I refuse to use a groomer who cage dries, it just seems like an accident waiting to happen.
