| Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I am really glad that Mickey is doing better now...how scary that must have been!!! We just recently switched our girls food and I can not imagine if something like that would have happened...I know what you mean though, we feed Nutro Lamb and Rice Small Bites and we have heard from several people that it is not the best of the best, but it works for our girls and they like it, so that is what they will stay on until we feel like something needs to change!!!

| Thank you everyone so much for your wishes. I logged out for a little to lay down and rest with him on the sofa. For SoCalyorkiLuv - the vet said hamburger meat is okay - just don't give a lot and it is mixed with the rice too. They need some protein. I added a few carrots to the mix this afternoon and all okay still. I had also given Mickey some chicken too on Friday and that is what had sent him over the edge, because when he threw up - the chicken was in it. I had never given him chicken before in 8 years. It ws the change in dog food and the chicken - way too much for his system, especially since he is getting older. Again thank you all so much for the well wishes and kind thoughts. T. |

| Topknot, I was told by my breeder and 2 other breeders at the specialty show that Royal Canin Yorkshire would (i am using their words)kill a dog. They told me if I was going to feed Royal Canin to feed the Mini. I chose Biljac after all this anyway but I am just repeating what i was told. |

| Thanks to all and diva pup! I am not feeding them any of the two foods I bought again, just in case. I had even changed the food very slowly so as to not upset their stomachs. The vet said that the protein levels are just way too high for these dogs and can cause this problem, especially if young or older in age - like Mickey is (older). I had the Royal Canine puppy for small breeds 33 for the pups and the Royal Canine for Yorkshire Terriers. SOmeone told me that the oil levels are too high in that, even though it is for their coat it might not be good for their tummys - if not use to it. I think it was the Nutro Max puppy that actually did the major damage with the chicken treats I gave him too. I am working on getting his picture taken today and send it to you all. It was nice having him in my bed last night and you could tell that he was soooo happy to be back. When I put him in my bed last night he smiled and rubbed his head on the comforter and got a little excited going from me and the pillows. I am sure it was really hard for him to spend 3 nights at the vets. I copied the list that we got on the better and natural foods to give and may switch to one of them slowly in about 2 weeks. They were great before on Science Diet but want to get away from the corn fillers, if possible. Thank you all for your support. T. |

| I am so glad your baby is okay. I changed my baby's food from Puppy Max to Puppy Ultra (it's all natural). The best thing is that it has the important oils for their coat and fur. My baby love it. |

| I heard that the Ultra is okay - it is the Nutro Max that is not good. T. |

| OMG I am glad that his is getting better. I am a little nervous now b/c I have been giving Reese Nutro Max for the past few months. She is almost out so I could switch to the Ultra instead. What did your vet say about the Nutro Max, that it was just way to high in protein?
