| When To Stop Feeding "Puppy" Food? When should I stop feeding him "puppy" food? And when/if what type (indoor or adult) should I feed him? He's 3 1/2 months and weighs about 4 1/2 pds.

| I stopped at a year too when she finished the last of the puppy food. I was so sad buying "adult" dog food for my baby. I love chicken soup for the pet! |

| My vets said it depends upon growth patterns and size of puppy. When Samson was 6 months (7 lbs.) both of his vets said that I should start transitioning to adult food - that he went thru the majority of his growth spurts and didn't need the puppy food too much longer. So now at over 7 months I'm only mixing in a tablespoon (wet) of puppy food a couple of times a week and will stop when I've finished the last can.

| Took my new 8 mo. old to the vet Friday. He too said that I could start with adult food. I also have two other older yorkies and the puppy wanted to eat their food all the time anyway. Hope that helps. |
