| I'm not sure. There are things that I like about both of them. I like 1 over 2 because it contains alot of fruits and veggies. However, I like 2 over 1 because 1 lists it's second ingrediant as chicken meal. I prefer the two "real" meats that 2 offers first. What are the names of these? Have you tried looking them up on the dog food analysis website?

| I do not feed garlic, so I'd choose the second one. There are things I don't like about both of them though like rice bran and flaxseed. And please don't tell me one of these is Wellness. If one of them is, I am not too happy. Tomato is not my first choice for dogs because there is some speculation about it causing heart arryhthmias (sp?).

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I think the second one also. I believe there was a thread previously here stating that if there is two or more meats in the first 5 ingredients, this is one of the better ones. Maybe go in search and you can find the post. It had a list of things to look for, what it should contain and not. Hope this helps!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | The 2nd one looks a bit better bc of the meat content/protein content - but not all of the info is really here. Is the flax seed just seed? If so, don't bother - like humans, flaxseed is just eliminated undigested - is has to be ground or given as extracted oil. And, is your dog sensitive to flax (something to consider)? And, I wonder what "egg product" is? I mean, it looks pretty good overall - but sometimes you can get more ingredient info if you keep snooping around...

I don't think there is one kibble with no "problems". Even the fish in these, are they guaranteeing it is free of contaminants? Another thing that really gets me is yucca schidigera. I think it is used to promote better smelling "potties" but if the dog is eating a good food, that shouldn't be necessary.

| Because they both have tomato in them and I don't like it much in dog food. I didn't realize it was an ingredient in Wellness. I also didn't realize Wellness had garlic in it. I can't recommend it anymore.

I think even the kibble is very high in fat and has given several dogs GI upset. It also has garlic in it.
