| Help Lexie is eating her poop!!! I don't know what to do. She will pick it up sling it like it tastes bad then EAT IT!!!! I'm feeding science diet dry small bites. I have a feeder because I have four babies and this way nobody is trying to take anybody's food. I am almost ready for her to go. I don't want to but it makes such a mess in their room. My husband and I both work so I can't get it up as soon as they poop. I've read on YT that science diet isn't very good. Could changing food help?

| I would try a different food. A lot of times the reason they eat their poo is they are still hungry. Is she just eating hers or everyones?

| I don't think changing her food will make her stop..some dogs do it some don't..I have 1 out of 6 that eats it(the youngest) and she's going on 8 mos. her brother does the same thing...you can by some potty mouth, it's a chewable tablet and give it to all of them..I like it better than the stuff you sprinkle on their food.. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have 2 of my 4 that are poop eaters and the vet gave me Forbid to put on there food but I haven't used it yet as I am afraid it will upset there stomachs and I have 4 of them. Where can you buy potty mouth?

| I used the forbid before, it never upset their stomaches. But, the potty mouth I've seen at our petstore, and also noticed TSC carries it also.. |

| I found several sites online about this topic, this one has a lot of straight forward info: http://www.k911.biz/Petsafety/DogEatsPoop.htm I watched the animal planet show "It's me or the dog" and the trainer on the show cut up pineapple and mixed in the dogs food, dogs apparently don't like pineapple the second time around and won't eat their poo. Also canned pumpkin works.

| My 2 cents This is a instint in the wild pack/den animals will eat the poop to hide from becoming dinner of a larger animal. I do not think diet will change it. Becareful giving can pumpkin -- this is given for loose stool to firm it up. I have read meat tenderizer will work? But I do not know if it will upset tummy? I'm going to read on the pineapple thing?? I have on girl here that tries to eat the poop--while it's still coming out of the other butt this is gross GOOD LUCK |

LOL Im just glad we dont have to talk about how to get humans to quit doing it! Duncan and Pipers mom |
