| Microchipping?? Hey all, So my Lila is getting spayed next week and I payed an extra $35 for microchipping. I have been calling around getting second opinions from other vets, and one of them (actually the tech) said that microchipping is dangerous; she says they have seen many dogs become paralyzed from the procedure. So my question is, have any of you had your dogs microchipped? Experienced complications from it? BTW, love this site. You guys have a wealth of information! -Sessy

| Tobey came microchipped and he is 6 yrs old and no problem. Isabella isn't but my vet recommend to do it when I get her spayed, so I plan to do that. I've never heard anything bad.

| all of mine are microchipped.. I look at it.. like do I want to love this dog, then have a chance of losing him, and not being able to prove it is my dog.. or do I go and get it done.. I got my youngest one at 8 weeks and was microchipped.. I would not ship at yorkie at that age, nor would I microchip at that age neither.. I could feel it sticking out of her neck as she was only 1.5 pounds at 8 weeks... |

| microchip my little girl got her microchip (homeagain) done when she got spayed at 4 months. no problems at all! it's best to do when they are out , so you have the perfect chance when you get her spayed. :-) Good luck!
