| Do you ever feel guilty... ...feeding too many treats? There are days when Mocha won't eat her food and only wants treats. Sometimes I comply and sometimes I don't, but I feel guilty when she doesn't eat anything at all and waits for a treat. Anybody else's munchkin do this?

| Well, since Ellie eats all people food, she thinks all of it is just one big treat.

| my lab is overweight because of the massive amount of treats my husband feeds her. She's got to lose 10-15 pounds. And she really should not be overweight, especially with labs having joint and hip problems. So on a diet Bridget goes and my husband gets to learn restraint. Bella gets treats too but not as many and her weight is fine.

| I agree I can totally relate. So I figure – treats are better than no food at all? (When she chooses not to eat.) |

I think it's very important to limit his treats, and never give an unhealthy treat. Giving him an unhealthy treat should make you feel guilty, not the other way around.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | I normally only give a healthy treat in the afternoon, in between meals. I have to be very careful as I have a little girl that is on the chubby side and loves to eat.

| Yes here Max sometimes refuses to eat at all. I wonder where he gets the energy. I am guilty if he doesnot eat right away, I worry so i give him ham, turkey, chicken, treats, apples bananas. I worry too much. Now he just wants people food from our plates, even if you put the people food in his plate, he isnt having it. I have created a little monster. Good Luck with that ! But I think for small dogs, that might not be so unheard of, they have little tummies.

| Mine don't really like treats, but they do love vegetables. Any time I am cooking green beans or brocolli they are right under my feet wanting some.

| Mine get one treat first thing in the morning..then at night, I give the big dogs about 5 pieces of baked chicken in with their food, so, I give each of the 4 little ones one piece..so, no, I don't feel guilty..that's the only people food they get, and they still eat their dog food just fine.... |

| Mocha eats Solid Gold and Honest Kitchen, but she will hold out for Yorkie Yummies, carrots, yogurt, etc instead of her food. I feel guilty because I feel like she should be eating her food (to get the whole balanced diet), instead of a little bit of this and that, even if it's healthy.
