I really love my yorkie, but is it harmfull for my yorkie to love me? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Let me start off by saying how great it is to have a forum that we can discuss issues about our yorkies the internet has needed something like this for a long time.I am a 350lb women and getting a date is not very easy, so my yorkie is my best friend.

There is nothing wrong with loving your Yorkie! Yorkies are loving, adorable, and loyal pets that want your love and attention!

Hey, all you have to do is take your Yorkie for a walk downtown, and all the girls/guys will be following you! Yorkies are magnets!

that is SOOOO true! Yorkies are attention magnets everywhere. But if you are a single guy, girls and women will FLOCK to you. It's pretty neat to see it happen, like at a park or somewhere public.

WHAT?? Does that mean I shouldn't let my husband take our Yorkie for walks without me??

Took too many years to find him .... sure would hate for some Yorkie admirer steal him away!!!

Heheh... Yorkies attract a lot of attention whereever you go, it's the Yorkie that people want to pet, touch, and see. The man is just an aside. :P

Thank goodness!!

And I thought all those stories about "friendly women" were an area for concern!! I will rest easy knowing it's just the Yorkie they are attracted to!!

Well, actually, when I take my Yorkie Neesa out, I get tons of single guys coming up and wanting to pet her or ask about her. So I'm not quite sure if they like me or just my baby! Heehee.

I'm tooo old for Toto to be a guy magnet .... but more power to you younger ladies!!!

Do you have perfect strangers who want to hold her?? I have to struggle with my "Southern Manners" when this happens! I have just learned to politely say we don't let other people hold her. Petting is OK ... but holding this wriggley ball of fur ... I don't think so!!

Sometimes I don't like strangers petting Otis simply because I kiss him on the forehead, on the cheek, on his neck all the time....and I don't know where these peoples' hands have last been.

YES!! And if she licks them I want to just run immediately and wash her little tongue!

It's really funny when people approach us and ask "will she bite?" She is so small you just want to look at them and say "and if she does?"!!

Honestly, you would think I had a pit bull in my bag!!

Some Yorkies are little yappers, brings people to fear em. I have been bitten a few times, their teeth are pretty sharp. But no skin was punctured, luckily and I forgave my baby.

That is wonderful that you love your Yorkie as much as you do. There are so many homeless pets out there without a loving home. There is nothing wrong with your Yorkie loving you back. I love my little guy soooo much too. He goes everywhere with me. My boyfriend got him for me a couple years ago because I am an attention hog. My little yorkie now gives me a taste of my own medicine lol! He is like my baby. Your yorkie will automatically love you when you love him.
