| What happened to cause them to bite? I do not see very many Yorkies. We are the only one in our neighborhood that has a Yorkie and he is the nicest little guy. The only time he barks is when the doorbell rings or a strange noise startles him. Did you get him as a puppy? He has never snapped at anyone. Many people tell me that Yorkies are yappers and snappers, but my guy is nothing like people say. Last edited by admin; 03-30-2004 at 10:35 PM. |

I am the same way with my Yoda! He is so friendly everyone wants to pet him, but he will not let anyone pick him up. He is really attached to me that he will not leave my sight when he is out. I take him everywhere with me. I do not like little children petting him, he does not like it either, he usually paws my leg to tell me to pick him up if there is children around. It's true you do not know where their hands have been. I also kiss him alot so I do not want to kiss the germs from other people hands. Last edited by admin; 03-30-2004 at 10:36 PM. | |

| Welcome to Yorkie Talk, Rose! What is your Yorkie's name? The wonderful thing about our furbabies is they don't care what size*/age/or gender we are! They love us unconditionally! And we love 'em back! Walking a dog is a people magnet. Period. Dogs are GREAT coversation starters! We got to know so many people at the RV park in Florida where we spent last winter through their dogs! WE all didn't have names....we went by "Chewy's Mom", "Higgin's Daddy", "Chanel's Dad", etc. They had a weekly "Dog Walk" around the park every Tuesday morning. And one of the campers in our loop held a potluck cookout for all of us dog owners.....dogs were invited to come, too......and it was a ball! *I am a woman of some substance myself** and Higgins LOVES to sit on my "shelf" (bosom) to survey his world. Don gets jealous sometimes because he says Higgins prefers me because my body is more comfy for him to hang out on.....LOL. ** Actually, I'm a size 10. All this extra skin and padding is just to keep the size 10 under there from getting scratched. |

| Mary Ellen, you're a nut!! [in a GOOD way!] Patrick says Toto only loves him for his "padding"!! Speaking of camping in Florida ... when do you plan to start your "wintah" in Rock Crusher?? I just think you and Don are "rats" because Toto and I will be freezing our tushies off in Colorado!! If we absolutely can't bear the cold, would Don be so kind as to come up with a Casita Mod that would accommodate the two of us in sunny Florida?!? I would say that I would bring our Casita but I don't think I could pull it with my Mustang ... heck, I couldn't pull it with a big truck!!!

| Just got back from enjoying a week of fine fall foliage in northern Maine! It was glorious! Now it is time to finish up all the mods and get crackin' and packin' for wintah in Florida -- if there is anything left of poor Florida. We leave November 15th and will travel via Lexington, KY, to visit my daughter. We're planning on staying at the Horse Park there, which I understand is lovely and full of special Christmas lights starting November 18th. We'll be on the Uppah Loop on December 1st and ready to decorate our site for Christmas. Bettyeanne, are you and Patrick going to be there for the Fest in February? I mean, sweetie, WHO is going to bring the Peanut Butter Pie???? Huh? Huh? * As soon as we get to our site, we are going to nearby Home Depot and get a 50' roll of fencing for a Higgins Hangout. At least, that's what I want. I hate keeping him leashed all the time when we are camping. Will keep you posted. When we were camping this week, the chipmunks and the RACCOONS had a ball visiting our site hoping to cadge some dry dog food! Two young coons made an appearance right in front of us at dinner time one night! Higgins was inside the camper and went BESERK barking and wanting to get out and get them! Don got a cute picture of them as they went up a nearby tree...... * If we ask her really nicely....maybe even begging and groveling a little?....Bettyanne might post her recipe for Peanut Butter Pie. It is FAMOUS! |

| I have found out that Yorkies are the best breed ever to return your loyal, honest affection they receive from you!! I wish that I would have learned about Yorkies so many many years ago... Don't ever be ashamed for the love you have for your "best friend", never ever!! I dress my Schatzie up everyday!! My husband says I treat her like a toy doll. Well, who cares?? Schatzie loves the attention and it makes me feel good inside. I tell my husband, "just wait until her hair is long enough for the hundreds of top knot bows I have for her!!" He just shakes his head. Oh he loves her to death, but not like I do. I don't think you can ever love a Yorkie too much. So who cares if you are thin or bigger, your best friend don't care!! |

| I have to agree with everything that has been said in here. For a joke one day my hubby said I am allergic to dogs either she goes or I. All I said was never give me that choice. All he said was "I thought so". He gets mad at me because all I watch is animal planet. He is a truck driver and is gone a week at a time. When he comes home he pays attention to her first. So I know he loves her just as much as I do. (MEN)!!!! |
