| I don't mean to try to 'bump' my thread up again..... I am really desparate for an answer. This morning I found Mochi's wound a bit different than yesterday. I took a picture and would like you to help me to see if it is normal or not. Other than that, she seems fine, pee is not as frequent as before, so I assume that 'horror' is over. I am posting the pictures in the next post so that if you don't want to see the graphics, you can skip it. Thank you again.

| Is is hard for me to say from the pics. Could you explain the red spots? Are they about the size of a dime and not touching the incision? Do they look something like dark red bruises (not bumpy or pussy)?

The one pic looks like there is a bubble. Is that what you're talking about?

The red little flesh is about 1/8 inch long and 1/16 inch wide. I will try my best to discribe the wound...... it is at the end of the wound. The little flesh is like when some liquid try to squeeze out from a leak, but in this case, it is not liquid, it looks like some pinkish flesh just grow out of the opening of the wound. I forgot to mentioned that on one side of the wound (which is the side of the pinkish flesh is found), it is hardened and a bit bigger (like swollen, instead of soft feeling, it is hard) than the other side of the wound which looks normal. Mochi never tries to lick and bite her wound, I watch her 24/7, and it seems the wound is not bothering her in any way. She plays, eats and sleeps normally. Please help.....

Your experience sound scary (I am sorry to say that). Did your baby experience any discomfort, pain or act differently when that happened? I called the hospital office this morning, they said that it is up to me to bring Mochi in or not. If so, it would be a walk-in since all the appointments are booked. It also sounds like a paid consultation to me. Mochi's vet is not in the office till Wednesday, I am sure her vet will not charge her for just a look. Well, it there is a charge, I am still willing to pay (to buy my peace of mind).

| I took Mochi for a vet check. The vet said that the incision does not look as they want it to be, but there is no infection or complication. The little pinkish bubble is just Mochi's own flesh got irritated due to the tightness of the stitches. If there is no greenish discharge, Mochi will be on schedule for the staple removal which is on Mar 12. FYI. The vet did not charge me as well which I think it was fair. The confirmation of Mochi's incision is a big relief for me. I am really appreciated with all of YTers support and suggestions. I am so happy that I am a member of this community. I will keep all of you updated about Mochi's condition after her staples are removed. Hopefully nothing will happen in between these days!!
