| Taylor is a Teapot size Yorkie. He weighs 13 lbs. We started getting him 6 inch but in no time I was taking them away from him because he chewed them down so fast and I was afraid he'd swallow the end. Then we ordered 8 inch. They are nice but he does just fine with the 12 inch ones so that's what we usually order now. He had a toy that we got from Pet Smart that is a rubbery tube that had colored ropes through the center. Once the ropes came out and we found that the tube makes a perfect "Bully Stick" holder and we don't worry about him swallowing the end of the Bully when it gets short. I just looked on Petsmarts site but didn't see it. I found it here, so you can see what it looks like. Amazon.com: Pet Stages ORKA Stick: Kitchen &... | In my opinion, 12" and the thicker the better. Sammy is 6lbs and she does fine with a 6" because it takes her so long to eat it. Loki is 12lbs and he does the same thing as Taylor. However, some people do like the smaller, thinner sticks especially for tiny Yorkies.

| Thanks guys mine are 2 pounds 3 pounds and 7 pounds and now more confused than ever lol i have bought both for them in the past and it seems like it takes them forever (at least a week) to even chew a 6 inch down at all so i am guessing then the 6 inch for now and then if they start chewing them to easy move up to the 8 and then maybe even the 12?

| I just gave Cassi her first bully stick today...the 5 inch one...and she absolutely loves it. When I picked up the remains of the bully stick after she chewed on it for alomst 2 hours, I found one of her baby molars (finally!!).... She's currently 6.5 months old and weighst 2.8 lbs. Now reading this post it looks like I should be getting her longer ones once she gets a little older. |

| Once she depletes her 5 inch bully stick (she has 5 more to go), I'm going to upgrade her to the 12 inch and will cut them in half. Thanks for your input! |
