Taylor is a Teapot size Yorkie. He weighs 13 lbs. We started getting him 6 inch but in no time I was taking them away from him because he chewed them down so fast and I was afraid he'd swallow the end. Then we ordered 8 inch. They are nice but he does just fine with the 12 inch ones so that's what we usually order now.
He had a toy that we got from Pet Smart that is a rubbery tube that had colored ropes through the center. Once the ropes came out and we found that the tube makes a perfect "Bully Stick" holder and we don't worry about him swallowing the end of the Bully when it gets short.
