| Question about ginger snaps and car sickness I've read some of you use these cookies for car sickness; when do you give it to them, and how much. My Lil Deuce Coupe seems to be prone to get sick when we ride. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!

| I give it about 5 or 10 minutes before leaving but I'm sure 20 or 30 minutes before leaving is better and 1/2-1 cookie.

| I would double check and make sure the cookies contain actual ginger as that is the ingredient that is key to curb nausea and motion sickness. Good luck!

| Our little boy would get horribly carsick when we first brought him home, he actually got sick from taking a walk, that's how sensitive he was. We gave him Ginger pieces that I bought from a Chinese Grocery store beacuse they had more REAL ginger than any I could find elsewhere. The trick for him was the slow introduction of motion. So as nutty as it sounds, we would put him in the car and drive up the driveway once, than bring him back inside. We would add an up and down once a week. We did this for about a month before we actually took him around the block. Now he's the Car King! He gets in his seat and he thinks he's all that!!! It's hilarious! Also a great product is HomeoPet or Bach's Rescue Remedy, recommended by our Vet. HomeoPet has a specific one for car sickness. Wish I knew about this when my boy was a pup, because sometimes he just didn't want to eat the ginger. Hope this helps!? |
