We gave him Ginger pieces that I bought from a Chinese Grocery store beacuse they had more REAL ginger than any I could find elsewhere. The trick for him was the slow introduction of motion. So as nutty as it sounds, we would put him in the car and drive up the driveway once, than bring him back inside. We would add an up and down once a week. We did this for about a month before we actually took him around the block. Now he's the Car King! He gets in his seat and he thinks he's all that!!! It's hilarious!
Also a great product is HomeoPet or Bach's Rescue Remedy, recommended by our Vet. HomeoPet has a specific one for car sickness. Wish I knew about this when my boy was a pup, because sometimes he just didn't want to eat the ginger.
Hope this helps!?:) |
