Pickles Did Something Strange This Morning. Well, today was like any other day. We woke up before work and i fixed him his food, but before he started eating.... Pickles began to heave and act like he was gonna throw up. This scared me so i got really close, and he didn't really throw up anything but like.. a little bit of white bubbly stuff, which i could only assume would be stomach acid, as I have seen my little cousin Timmy throw up on an empty stomach and you know, it's white. Anyway, I was freaking out for a few minutes, gave him extra attention... but he didn't seem to know what was wrong... ..He started eating right after drank some water, had a poo, and then wanted to play tug-o-war. I'm terrified that he's dying. I doubt it, as he's completely normal throughout the day since the incident. Was it just a fluke? Going to the vet, regardless, on thursday for some shots... so i guess I'll ask then if everything stays calm. Anyway, as a first-time puppier, I'd like some information !! :P Thanks in Advance

I think if it was a one time thing (throwing up) that he should be fine. Lots of people on here have yorkies that throw up every now and then for who knows what reason. If he keeps throwing up or develops diarrhea, or acts listless and depressed, then I would worry. Yorkies can have sensitive stomachs, so he could have eaten something that didn't agree with him. Just keep a close watch on him and give him lots of kisses! Also check to make sure his gums are a pinkish color and if they are gray or white, give him nutrical! Hope all goes well with your little one...we all worry about our babies!

Very lucky I think that my yorkie males must be the only yorkies with cast iron stomaches. These boys can/do/will eat anything. After going through the loss of my teeny baby Max when he was just 4.5 months old and having had him for just 5 weeks, I was terrified that I might lose another one. Fortunately, God was looking after me, cause other than an overdose of meds that Bengie got into (and almost died from) these boys eat like horses. I thank my starts above, cause these boys are so healthy.
