Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | In the future if this happens but its a lot more chocolate.....You can induce vomiting but giving them 1/2 tspn of Peroxide....the kind ya keep around for boo boo's......but this has to be done within 45 minutes of eating the chocolate. I know this because Diggy ate equivalent of 3 hersey kisses. I called vet immediately and this is the instructions they gave me Good to know just encase they eat something they shouldnt. I would always consult vet first but when thats not possible its an option. There are lots of posts on here about when and when not to ude peroxide too. Glad he is okay

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Once when hubby was obviously NOT watching Reese...and Reese was being entirely too quiet...he discovered he'd eaten almost an entire HUGE hershey kiss. The vet instructed him to give him 1 t perxiode w/ 2 t water....and take him outside. Really shortly thereafter, he threw up....a lot of chocolate. Then we had to wait a couple of hours before letting him eat or drink anything until his tummy settled.

| She should be fine, Gizzie ate a chocolate like one of those in those heart shaped v-day boxes and she was ok, she's not even 3 lbs, just keep and eye on her

| I have a vet friend who told me that the threshold level of amount of chocolate is usually about 1 oz per pound. So if you're yorkie is 5 pounds, he should be able to tolerate 5oz of chocolate. Granted,he may be extra hyper for a while! |

| That was my reaction too. If my Max ate the equivalent to about 8 oreos and was fine, she should be fine. He was just a bit too hyper through the whole night.

| Yes, there are! My daughter had a bag one time and I was very leary of them. Turns out they're not half bad. There are (I think) 5 different flavors - ranging from vanilla to dark chocolate.... or something like that. Pretty good actually. It was a little weird though chewing what my mind knew to be a Skittle but it tasting like chocolate.
