Stinky Breath - Help My yorkies have the worst breath - even after having their teeth cleaned at the vet. I tried brushing them, I give them greenies and other dental/breath chews, they are on a special dental food (hard w/special enzymes) but their breath is just horrendous!!! Anyone have any suggestions?

I took Lexie to the vet today and he said Yorkies are known for bad teeth and bad breath. He suggested I put her on the special food. Made by Science Diet. But I decided to keep her on Canidae kibble. Before I adopted her she was on homecooked/soft food, so I thought that was part of the problem. The vet said brush her teeth every day. I sure hope it helps.

They are on Royal Canin Dental - it is a prescription diet that has special enzymes to break down the tarter. They love it! Only 2 of the 4 have really terrible breath, the other 2 are more tolerable. My friend has Jingle Belle's sister (Sasha Belle) and her breath is not bad at all and her teeth are strong and beautiful without brushing or yearly cleaning.
