Are you sure this recent episode isn't pancreatitis? Five days after Ellie ate 1/4 cup of Innova canned food she threw up about 8 times. A few days later she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. I don't know if it was the Innova or the beef she was getting in her meals but something seems not right with it. I know the Innova regular canned is way too high in fat.

Innova EVO is too high in Protein for a dog that has had Pancreatitis.....
Innova Reduced Fat is low in Fat BUT Very Very High in Protein (52% protein!!!)
I have mine on Canidae Lamb & Rice (21% protein & 12.5% Fat)
Scruffy has had a bad bout with Pancretitis last year.

I am pretty sure it's not pancreatitis. It presented totally differently than the last time and he hasn't been lethargic or anything...he was racing around like he normally does, playing with his toys, wanting us to play with him, peeing and pooping normally, and was only throwing up his food. When he had pancreatitis, he was throwing up constantly even when he hadn't had anything, refused to eat anything (he's had NO problem eating and is as eager as ever when food is visible), and just laid on the sofa and was very weak. His temp was normal. I gave him some plain yogurt and it seemed to stop it (or else he'd gotten whatever it was that was bothering him out of his system), and then I started just feeding him a couple of tablespoons of boiled rice with a little bit of ground up chicken breast in it. He kept that down all day Saturday and Sunday and today I've been giving him a little bit of I/D and will probably start him back on his regular food tomorrow if he's ok thru the night.

I keep detailed notes when he's sick and save them so I have them to go back to when he's ever sick again to compare them. So this was a tossup between the new food or eating bunny poop, which has never bothered him before. Not to say it isn't the cause, but it coincidentally started right when I gave him the new food straight.

Ellie had zero symptoms when she had pancreatitis except vomiting...

I got an e-mail back from the Natura rep I e-mailed. She said there have been no problems with Innova canned food and that if there was any kind of problem, it would be posted on their website immediately and that the food would be recalled.

Yes, I've come to that conclusion. Max will be staying on the food he's been on for the last 2 yrs that he hasn't had a problem with.

I had Beau and Lexie on Innova but I just switched them to homecooked in the morning and Eagle Pack...Looks like a good thing too...hmm..I never had problems though and it cleared up Beau's food allergies
