| Natura (Innova) Warning There has been some bad press about Natura (Innova, Evo, California Natural, Karma) lately. It may all be untrue. Here is a link saying they had a class action lawsuit filed against them: http://hubpages.com/hub/Dog-Food-Rev...-Rabbit-Canned You might be able to find more info on google. You can also go to Itchmo's site and type "Innova" into the search. Someone found black and white chunks in a bag of food along with something that looked like fishing line and blue rubber... They talked to Innova and they think the fishing line was connective tissue and the black chunks were vitamins... Who knows. It very well could still be safe.

| I am currently feeding Innova puppy kibble. But I am searching for a suitable cooked diet for Penny. Hope I find one soon. Dog food is getting scary.

And you would think that going with a small company is a good idea because they have better ingredients, but then they may not have the money or procedures in place for quality control. I have been turned off to most Natura products lately.

| Yeah same here. I actually just went out and bought a new 5lb bag today because Franklin is out.... I thought about buying Chicken Soup instead but didn't because I didn't want to upset his tummy.. he's been so sick lately. Maybe after this bag we can phase it out and feed a different brand.

| I have been feeding Innova EVO (the turkey based, not the red meat fornula) for several months now and I have been extremely happy with it. Thier stools are never runny, they have healthy looking coats and lots of energy. I do not feed the canned so maybe that is the difference.

I just started last week trying to switch Max over from Hills W/D to the EVO reduced fat...I may have rushed it a little. I'm trying to figure out if his tummy is upset b/c of the food change (I gave him plain EVO kibble the other evening which is when he first started feeling badly I'm pretty sure), or if it's related to eating rabbit poop. Do you think that going from the W/D to the EVO might have been too rich b/c it's got better quality for his digestive system? His food doesn't come back up immediately; it's like partially digested when it does. For now, I'm just feeding him a little I/D til his tummy settles down or we go to the vet. The EVO sounds like it should be so good for him, and he def. loves it (but then, he eats bunny poop....so he's not that discriminating an eater ).

How fast did you switch? That might be the problem but Evo might be too rich...

| It is probably okay to keep feeding it. I am done with Natura though. They may or may not have had a lawsuit filed against them. Packaging material was found in their food (quality control). The canned Innova is way too high in fat and MAY have given Ellie pancreatitis. Their food has garlic in it and that is NOT okay for all dogs. I used to like this company but have changed my mind until they fix their issues.

| Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread. I will post about this probably later if my problem continues. But Max only eats the dry food as "snacks" in between his two feedings morning and evening. I mixed the two dry kibbles together (old and new) and gave that to him over the day, for about 4 or 5 days and then in the eve. Thurs. gave him a small handful of just the EVO.

I don't think you hijacked it and even if you had it is no big deal.
