| I have to say to OP that you are doing a very nice thing helping your friend out and trying to research every possibility you are a true friend and a wonderful person. I have nothing to say on that because i know nothing about it so sorry i cannot help you there. But i am sure that you will find the right option for your friend and her baby whatever that might be good luck to you sweetie. Hugs Mary

| i think regardless of how we personally feel about debarking it is important to realize that this woman would BENEFIT (health wise and mentality as well) from having her baby right there with her in the event she has to go into assisted living ... we all know the health benefits of our furry ones and taking that away from her would just be too sad ![]() i applaud the OP for having the courage to post on here for information ... she is trying to help this woman and trying to find ways to let her keep her furbaby

| For those of you who were kind, you have my thanks from the bottom of my heart. For those of you who were less than thoughtful, and found sarcasm as an appropriate response, please don't read any further. It won't make a difference for you. Dear Friends, This is my dear Mom I'm talking about. She was supposed to come live with us, but her condition will soon warrant more medical care than I can give. She has a terminal condition that is slowly hardening her lungs. It will take her life. She also has several other diagnosis that complicate her care tremendously. On top of all her physical ailments, she suffers from depression as well. Her little poodle, who is a pain in the neck for everyone but her, is her life. Seriously. She's a sweet girl, but is very spoiled by Mom. Who can blame her, since my Dad died, she's been her constant companion. Needless to say, my Mom is very cherished. We will do the best we can to keep her happy. And Mom is all Bea knows, they are inseperable. Thanks and hugs to those who chose to see both sides. Joy

| After reading through all the threads, I have to say I feel sorry for this dear old lady. The dog is all she has, but people keep saying to rehome her last thread of life. I would think that we would be more concerned for the well being of this dear one. We need to stop and consider her, she has nothing but this little baby of hers. How heart broken she would be without him/her! I think we should be giving helpful suggestions to move heaven and earth to keep these two together. We are talking about another human being here! I think the OP is an angel sent to look after this older friend of hers! God bless her! |

| Widsmom, You must have posted while I was typing my last post. I'm sorry to hear that this is your mom. I know it is heart breaking to see your own mother go through something like this. I feel for you, and am truly sorry. |

Oh Joy honey i am sorry this must all just be aweful for you. Sweetheart you do whatever you need to do to keep those two together because hun i have seen the parents pass on and the furbabies don't stay around much longer because they grieve themselves to death. And imo if you rehome that baby it will be the worst thing for your mom and her baby. I am sure if that baby could speak she would tell you to do whatever you have to do keep her and her mommy together. I am sitting here in tears now because i can't even begin to imagine the pain that you must be going through with your mother and what the poor woman is going through and then you come here looking for support and yes you did get some but then also some very hurtful and neg things where said i know it wasn't me who said them but i want to aplogize to you for it anyway because everyone should be here to help with advice and to support our fellow yter's not lash out at them or put them down for asking for advice sweetie i your mother her baby and your whole family are in my prayers and thoughts good luck to you in whatever you decide and god bless you....you sound like a daughter to be proud of Big Hugs Mary

| Prayer's are coming your way that all works out for your beloved Mom. I truly hope you find a way to keep her pet quiet so they can spend the rest of their lives as campanions for each other. Your a wonderful, caring, loving daughter. I pray my daughter's care as much for me when and if the time comes to makes decisions for me. |

| Joy,your post has me in tears and I would do whatever needed to be done to keep them together. My Sissy has been debarked, shehad the procedure done before I bought he. Well let me tell you they still bark and can be heard, sometimes her barks raspy, sometimes not. I would much rather here her bark than my boisterious Rocco. If you would like to hear Sissy bark pm me you e-mail addy and I will make and send you a video of her Barking. If I could be sure Rocco would sound like her I would have him done too. I have tried everything with him and some days it is really too much for me to take. |
