| Bad Breath? My york is only 6 months old and I've been very happy she doesn't have bad breath! Just starting this week her breath has been HORRIBLE! I've changed her food in hopes of solving the problem but it's not working! I know that I can give her breath mints & all that but is this normal? Thanks yorkie moms! |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | She is at the teething stage. Her breath smell like hot garbage right now..that is normal. Try brushing her teeth to help. Most likely towards the back of her mouth she might have a double or two. Food gets stuck there easily and that causes their breath to smell badly. It will go away in a bit once the baby teeth are out.

| I know just how you feel. Lola is 5.5 months old and her breath is awful as well. She is just teething. It is very normal. Also, Have you checked for double teeth? Sometimes they don't lose some of their baby teeth and it can cause their breath to stink. Several of my parents' dogs have had this same problem. I hope that helps!

| We have experienced this on a day or two haha! I just wish I could bottle up some puppy breath there is nothing better than when they are just babies and their eyes are still closed (that breath)

| Bath Breath goes on ? SO how long should it last ? Chooie has had bad breath for 1 week now I brush about every other day and give him hard toys to chew on. I tried to open his mouth and saw that there were double rows of molars and they have some dark plaque or maybe dried blood? So how long should they smell ? |
